MAZ to represent Lorraine-Luxembourg x Printemps de Bourges 2019

Printemps de Bourges has been the place to be for would-be professionals willing to start a career in France since 1985. The contest coined LES INOUÏS du Printemps de Bourges relies on a network of pop music professionals from France and its French-speaking ouskirts. 28 districts are involved, amongst which stands the bi-national  « Lorraine & Luxembourg ».

How does it work ? Based on a digital call for applications, each district designates the local happy few and put them together on stage to see how they behave and perform in front of the audience of music lovers those set of shows attracts nationwide. The whole live session is recorded in video. Then the national jury, following their regional counterparts’ hints, has the final cut.

30 bands yearly – that is to say less than 1% of the total amount of applicants – are given an unique opportunity to show off on the festival’s stages. In the audience, the in-crowd of Popular Music in France (more than 3000 accredited professionals delegates) are gathering in Bourges in April, eager to discover the next big thing. MAZ the rapper maybe?
